Moscow has come up with an initiative to achieve a ceasefire in Syria and to
appoint authorized representatives of both Damascus and the Syrian opposition to
hold talks on the settlement of the Syrian crisis. Moscow’s proposals have been
formulated in the draft statement of the UN Security Council (UNSC).
