"And I have found both freedom and safety in my madness, the freedom of loneliness and the safety from being understood, for those who understand us enslave something in us. But let me not be too proud of my safety. Even a Thief in a jail is safe from another thief. "

Israel rains down fire on Beirut with dozens of bunker buster bombs - The Cradle

Dozens of loud explosions rocked Beirut's southern suburb just past midnight on 4 October, as Israel unleashed another round of massive airstrikes claiming to hit Hezbollah targets.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the strikes hit buildings in the densely populated Mrayjeh area in Dahiye, the southern suburb, near Rafic Hariri International Airport, which is visible in the background of videos of the strikes circulating on social media.

Additional strikes targeted different neighborhoods in the suburb, including a residential area near a school in the Hadath area.

Nearing 3:00 am local time, Al Mayadeen's correspondent said that the strikes had caused massive fires and that Israeli drones continued to fly overhead.

Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA) said, “More than 10 consecutive strikes have been recorded so far, in one of the strongest raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut since the start of the Israeli war on Lebanon.”

The New York Times cited Israeli sources claiming Hashem Safieddine was the target of the bombings and that he was in a meeting with other senior Hezbollah leaders in an underground bunker.
