Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi affirmed on Monday that "Jordan stands by Lebanon." He stated, "We will continue to provide assistance and support all Lebanese efforts to strengthen the internal political situation, and we encourage the election of a new president for the republic, but we do not interfere in this matter."
Speaking from the Grand Serail, Safadi pointed out that "Jordan is ready to offer assistance to confront aggression and violations of Lebanon's sovereignty."
He emphasized that "Israel bears responsibility for this aggression and escalation in the region, as well as for any further escalation." He added, "We will not allow anyone to violate Jordanian airspace or threaten the security of Jordanians, and we have conveyed this to both Israel and Iran."
