Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who has been negotiating on behalf of Hezbollah, has renewed his call for a ceasefire in the country amid continued Israeli attacks.
“I want the cease-fire yesterday, today and tomorrow,” he said in an interview with The Washington Post.
Berri also affirmed his support for the details of U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein’s ceasefire plan.
After the interview was published, Berri’s spokesman told Lebanese media that a comment attributed to him about Iran was “untrue” and that he had responded to a question about Iranian funding of Hezbollah by saying: “This is common knowledge, and you back Israel.”
