"And I have found both freedom and safety in my madness, the freedom of loneliness and the safety from being understood, for those who understand us enslave something in us. But let me not be too proud of my safety. Even a Thief in a jail is safe from another thief. "

An armed terrorist group has killed at least seven Syrian soldiers after it attacked a military bus in the countryside near the capital, Damascus.

The terrorist group attacked the bus between Adra and Douma towns on Saturday, SANA reported.

First Lieutenant Yasser Mohammad Kaso, Chief Warrant Officer Hamza Suleiman Dib, Sergeant Major Ali Mahmoud Ibrahim, Sergeant Rami Salim Joyhra, Sergeant Ali Hatem al-Qadi, Conscript Mohammad Sakhr Baha Eddin al-Takriti and Conscript Ahmad Mohammad al-Mustafa were killed in the attack.

Meanwhile, the United Nations still remained divided over anti-Syria sanctions after Russia opposed a Western-Arab draft resolution presented to the UN Security Council.

The draft echoes the Arab League's call for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to transfer power to his deputy.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011.

Many people have lost their lives in the country over the past 10 months. Damascus says over 2,000 security forces have been killed in the unrest.

The West and the Syrian opposition accuse the government of killing protesters. Damascus, however, blames “outlaws, saboteurs and armed terrorist groups” for the unrest, insisting that it is being orchestrated from abroad.
