In a post on X, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed that Israeli army units, including the 91st Division and the Air Force, conducted operations targeting key Hezbollah members in the Khiam area of southern Lebanon.
Adraee stated, "The Israeli army 'eliminated' Farouk Amin Al-Ashi, the commander of the Hezbollah compound in Khiam. Al-Ashi was responsible for numerous anti-tank rocket attacks aimed at the Galilee Panhandle region, particularly the town of Metula."
He continued, "Another Hezbollah operative, Youssef Ahmed Noun, a commander with the Radwan Force unit in Khiam, was also killed in the operation. Noun was involved in launching rockets at Galilee towns and against maneuvering forces in the region."
Furthermore, Adraee claimed, "36th Division forces are continuing their operations in southern Lebanon, targeting members of Hezbollah's Radwan Force and other Hezbollah operatives.''
