Foreign Ministry: UNCHR statement on events in Idleb included fallacies, forging realities- SANA

Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Wednesday sent a letter to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights ( UNCHR) on the dangerous events in Idleb, showing the volume of a lot of fallacies and mistakes included in the Commissioner’s press statement and attempts of falsifying realities and misleading the international public opinion about what is going on in Syria.
“The content of the UNCHR issued on March 31st on the dangerous events in Idleb has included a lot of fallacies and attempts of forging realities and misleading the international public opinion about what is going on in Syria,” the Ministry said in the letter.
It added that several days ago, thousands of terrorists from “Jabhat al-Nusra” attacked the two cities of Bosra al-Sham and Idleb after firing them with hundreds of rocket shells for many days, entering from the south through Jordan into Bosra al-Sham and entering from the north through Turkey into Idleb, storming the safe neighborhoods and perpetrating the most ugliest crimes against civilians, forcing them to flee to regions where the Syrian state control.
“Initial reports say that the attack on Idleb led to displacing nearly 30 thousand people, 10 thousand of them were children, in addition to demolishing Idleb hospital by the armed terrorist organizations,” the letter affirmed.
It added that Jabhat al-Nusra, funded and supported by Al Saud and the Turkish regime, is a terrorist organization linked to al-Qaeda according to UN Security Council resolutions, and it is regrettable that UNCHR describes it along with other terrorist organizations, as ” a coalition of armed anti- government groups, yet, turning a blind eye to facts and realities with which world countries have acknowledged contrary to.
“It is also regrettable the UNCHR claims that Syrian government’s planes bombarded the Red Crescent Hospital in Idleb while those, whom the press statement describes as “armed anti-government groups”, destroyed the hospital with a testimony of the international organizations,” the Ministry said.
