MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Russia has suspended its agreement with the United States on cooperation in nuclear and energy research as a countermeasure against Washington’s unfriendly steps, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The step has been taken in response to restrictions imposed by the United States on Russia in the nuclear energy sector. In 2014 a notification was received from Washington, saying that the US suspended such cooperation with Russia over the Ukraine developments," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary released on Wednesday.
