DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:25 P.M.) – Amid increased tensions in the East Ghouta, Jaish Al-Islam stormed and entered Zamalka to dislodge Failaq Al-Rahman (FSA) militants from the town, located on the eastern fringes of the Syrian capital.
Utilizing heavy weaponry and tanks, Jaish Al-Islam entered the northeastern part of the FSA stronghold and engaged Failaq Al-Rahman who subsequently called upon Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) to stiffen their defenses.
With HTS reinforcements flooding into the town, heavy clashes erupted in Zamalka especially in the evening hours.
