The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, arrived in Beirut on Saturday morning amid an ongoing Israeli aggression on the country.
He is the second high-ranking Iranian official to visit Lebanon since the start of the aggression after Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Upon arriving in the Lebanese capital on a flight that he landed, Ghalibaf indicated that the purpose of his visit was to convey a message of solidarity and support from the Iranian leadership, government, and people to the Lebanese nation and its Resistance.
He said that his visit was at the invitation of his Lebanese counterpart, Nabih Berri, and that he is delivering a message from Iranian leader and leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
“We always stand by the Lebanese nation and government and will be at their service in difficulties," he affirmed.
