As tensions escalate in the region, Israel has significantly increased its military presence in southern Lebanon, with reports indicating that the number of divisions involved in the ground operation has now reached five.
According to Israeli army radio, Division 210 has begun executing limited ground operations in the Shebaa Farms area, which is situated in the eastern sector of the Lebanon-Israel border.
This military escalation follows the initiation of Israel's ground offensive on October 1. Initially framed as a "limited and brief" operation, the Israeli military has continued to bolster its forces in the region, indicating a shift in strategy.
The Israeli army previously deployed four divisions—98, 36, 91, and 146—prior to the activation of Division 210.
While the Israeli military has not disclosed the exact number of soldiers engaged in these ground incursions, estimates suggest that at least 40,000 troops are involved. Each division typically comprises around 10,000 personnel, and this figure does not account for additional support from the Israeli Air Force and naval assets.
