Following the "International Conference in Support of Lebanon's People and Sovereignty" held in Paris on Thursday, Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati called on the country's allies to intensify diplomatic efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire and end the destruction, emphasizing the need to work toward lasting stability based on international law and U.N. Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 1701.
Speaking at a press event, Mikati expressed gratitude to France for organizing the event.
He also thanked the participating countries and organizations for their commitment to supporting Lebanon and its people through these difficult times amid Israeli hostilities.
Mikati continued, "We deeply appreciate your support and commitment to standing by Lebanon. This conference has shown that Lebanon and its people have the international community's backing. We call on all our friends to intensify their diplomatic efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire and halt the destruction while working together toward lasting stability grounded in international law and U.N.
