President Mahmoud Abbas said Monday that his visit to Syria was aimed do discuss the hard situation that the Palestinians are witnessing and the efforts to form a national unity government.
Speaking to journalists during his arrival to the Jordanian capital, Amman, the President revealed that his meeting with Head of Hamas Political Bureau, Khaled Meshal, was focused on stopping internal violence, media incitation, and forming a unity government as well reactivating PLO.
The President also clarified that his meetings with PLO factions' leaders were at the same context.
Referring to Refugees' condition in Iraq, Abbas said that he has contacts with Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, to stop the deadly attacks against Palestinians.
