Deir Ezzor, SANA – Water has been pumped back to the city of Deir Ezzor after a ten-day cutoff due to shortage of fuel needed to operate the pumping engines, Director of the General Establishment of Drinking Water in Deir Ezzor said Thursday.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Eng. Muaaz Alloush pointed out that the Establishment has been supplied with 2000 liter of fuel enough to operate the pumping engines for 12 hours.
He noted that the Establishment needs 2800 liter of fuel to operate the engines for 16 hours, which will allow pumping water to cover 60-70% of the city’s needs through the two water purification facilities.
