One civilian was killed and five others were injured after a car bomb went off in a Damascus neighborhood on Wednesday.
The bomb was reportedly planted inside a car in the Nahr Aysheh district in southern Damascus suburbs and the driver was killed in the attack.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said ‘the blast was caused by an explosive device planted by terrorists.
Soon after the attack, a militants group call themselves Saraya Qasioun claimed responsibility for the explosion saying they targeted an officer in the State Security branch with IED in his car.
