The foreign-sponsored militants operating in Syria have suffered major losses as Syrian Army troops continue to gain more ground in their fight against the armed groups in Syria.
On Sunday, Syrian army units destroyed two cars laden with various kinds of munitions and killed a group of militants on the road linking the Hosh al-Abbasiya district on the outskirts of the capital, Damascus, to Khan al-Sheeh area.
In the western city of Homs, located 162 kilometers (101 miles) north of Damascus, government forces destroyed four cars equipped with heavy machine guns, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.
