The United States, with the aid of Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, has begun air strikes against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) targets in Syria, U.S. officials told Reuters news agency.
The military operation has so far killed 20 ISIS militants in addition to eight civilians, including three children, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
