The Russian Air Force carried out several airstrikes above the jihadist stronghold of Jisr Al-Shughour on Wednesday night, targeting a number of sites with a large presence of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) fighters.
According to a security source at the Hama Military Airport, the Russian Air Force struck a number of Jabhat Al-Nusra installations inside of Jisr Al-Shughour, while also striking Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) along the Idlib-Latakia Highway (M-4 Highway).
Countering the Syrian Army’s claims were opposition activists, who alleged that these airstrikes killed a number of civilians inside of Jisr Al-Shughour.
