"And I have found both freedom and safety in my madness, the freedom of loneliness and the safety from being understood, for those who understand us enslave something in us. But let me not be too proud of my safety. Even a Thief in a jail is safe from another thief. "

Israeli army begins ‘new wave’ of attacks on Lebanon - The Cradle

The Israeli military announced a new “wave” of attacks against Lebanon on the afternoon of 24 September.

The army “has now begun another wave of attacks against Hezbollah terrorist targets in Lebanon,” it said in a statement.

“Enemy warplanes launched two raids targeting the town of Kounin, and also raided the towns of Haris, Beit Yahoun and Deir Antar. On the southern coast of Tyre, warplanes launched two raids, the first on Al-Mansouri and the second on Al-Haniya Al-Qalila, south of Tyre,” Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Israeli army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said earlier on 23 September after a morning assessment that Hezbollah “must not be given a break” and that Israel will use all of its “might” against the Lebanese resistance movement.

His comments came as the death toll of Israel’s ongoing aerial assault against southern and eastern Lebanon has surged to over 550, with nearly 2,000 injured.

“Hezbollah must not be given a break. [We must] keep working with all our might,” Halevi said.

“We will accelerate the offensive operations today and bolster all the arrays. The situation requires continued intensive action on all fronts,” he added.

Israel has been indiscriminately targeting Lebanon’s south and eastern Bekaa region over the past few hours. The aerial campaign began on Sunday, and nearly 500 Lebanese had been killed by the following day.

Thousands of civilians have been displaced from Lebanon’s south and east and are struggling to find shelter. Israel has issued evacuation orders against citizens in the Bekaa region and southern Lebanon.
