MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russian and US top diplomats, Sergey Lavrov and Rex Tillerson, discussed Syria and paths to settling the conflict in that country at a meeting in Vietnam on Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"On November 11, on the sidelines of the APEC forum in Da Nang (Vietnam), the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson," the ministry said in a statement. "They discussed a settlement to the Syrian crisis and joint actions in that direction."
Russian-US contacts on the sidelines of the summit have stirred the interest of the US media and establishment.
