Militant mortar attacks on the Syrian capital, Damascus, have left at least 14 people dead and scores others wounded.
Syrian official news agency, SANA, reported on Sunday that the mortar shells targeted the central prison and the al-Wafedeen Camp.
Five shells hit Damascus Central Prison in Adra area, killing 10 people and wounding 50 others, a Police Command source said.
A medical source in the Police Hospital said two of the injured also succumbed to their wounds.
Meanwhile, SANA also quoted a police source as saying that 16 shells fired by Takfiri militants struck Damascus neighborhoods, killing two civilians and injuring 12 more.
Elsewhere, Three more mortar strikes carried out by the Takfiri militants hit three residential houses in the al-Wafedeen Camp in the Damascus countryside, injuring three people.
