Islamist fighters launched, today, the 2nd phase of their wide-scale offensive on government forces, aimed to break the blockade imposed on the rebel-held districts in the city's east.
The jihadi groups began their attack with blowing up 2 VBIEDs in New Aleppo district and 1 in the 3000 Residential Project, claiming that scores of Army soldiers and allied fighters have been killed.
Militants also shelled the Assad Military Academy with barrages of rockets, causing substantial material damage to the facility.
