BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:05 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies are preparing to storm two important towns in the northern countryside of Hama after fully repelling the jihadist attacks on Ma’ardes yesterday.
Led by the Tiger Forces and 40th Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army is making their final preparations to storm the key towns of Souran and Taybat Al-Imam.
With Ma’ardes fully secured, the Syrian Arab Army has moved in position to strike Souran from several axes, while the Russian and Syrian air forces bombard Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s defenses at Taybat Al-Imam.
Unlike Taybat Al-Imam, the Syrian Arab Army was able to recover Souran during their major offensive in northern Hama last year; however, the jihadist rebels managed to seize it again after launching their large-scale assault this year.
Once Taybat Al-Imam is captured, the nearby town of Halfaya is expected to fall within days due to the fact it will be flanked from its eastern and western axes.
