A deal has been reached between the Syrian government and rebel forces to open a new crossing in west Aleppo for commercial purposes.
The agreed-on crossing will link the rebel-held al-Mansoura town (located nearly 10 km to the west) with the New Aleppo district, which is under the Syrian government control.
According to sources, the new crossing will be used mainly for trading goods and facilitating the movement of civilians.
Al-Mansoura town is now run by The Syrian Liberation Front; a merger of Ahrar al-Sham and the Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement.
