Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has said Turkey is pressing for the Geneva II talks, a planned peace conference that aims to bring together representatives from the Syrian regime and opposition, to be held in December or January at the latest.
Speaking during the 2014 budget talks for the Foreign Ministry, Davutoğlu noted that Turkey is exerting great effort for the Geneva II talks to be held in December or January, saying they are having talks with “all sides” to arrange the peace conference.
His remarks came during a presentation he delivered on changes in the international conjuncture and developments in Turkish foreign policy in the past year.
