A roadside bomb has exploded in Syria, injuring five Jordanian unionists who were returning home after meeting Syrian officials in the capital, Damascus.
The five were members of the Jordan Writers’ Association and other trade unions who were abroad a bus that “was targeted by a roadside bomb near the border" on Thursday, Hussein Motawea, the head of the unionists said.
"Five people, including myself, were injured," Motawea also said, adding that they had been on a four-day visit to Syria and met some Syrian officials.
"I blame terrorist groups for the attack. The Jordanian government is also responsible because it supports Syrian terrorists," he added.
The incident came as Syrian army soldiers stormed the militants’ hideouts in Tishreen oil field and killed several Takfiri militants in Hasaka Province, northeast of Damascus.
