In an effort to create a positive view of Saudi Arabia internationally, Riyadh has been paying off media around the world and attacking outlets that publish reports damaging to the kingdom, according to Reporters Without Borders.Saudi's practices toward the media were revealed in leaked cables between the kingdom's embassies and its foreign ministry. The communications were dubbed the "Saudi Cables" and published by whistle blower website WikiLeaks.
