Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande underlined on Wednesday the necessity for coordinating efforts of the international community to combat the danger of terrorism, particularly in the framework of solving the crisis in Syria.
The Kremlin announced in a statement that during a telephone call among the three sides, President Putin hoped that the imminent meeting of October 15th in Lausanne about Syria would be fruitful to find a way out of the crisis in Syria.
Russian Foreign Ministry: A meeting will be held next Saturday about Syria
Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry affirmed that a ministerial meeting on Syria will be held in the Swiss city of Lausanne next Saturday with the participation of Russia, the US and a number of regional influential countries.
“According to the agreement between the Russian Foreign Minister and his US counterpart, a meeting will be held in Lausanne to study potential, additional steps in order to provide suitable conditions to settle the crisis in Syria,” a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
