BEIRUT: Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri met with the board of the Economic and Social Council Tuesday to discuss economic developments and concerns.
According to a statement from the premier-designate’s office, the board, headed by Council President Charles Arbid, discussed issues related to housing loans and foreign labor competition. They also suggested ways of stimulating the productive sectors according to a new economic study that is yet to be published.
The board briefed Hariri on the periodic meetings they hold with party representatives and expressed their shared economic concerns.
