Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed in a post on X the killing of Ahmad Sabhi Hazima, the commander of Hezbollah's operations unit in the coastal sector in the Tyre area, South Lebanon.
Adraee stated, ''Hazima had overseen several plots, including border incursions and anti-tank missile attacks on Israeli towns from the western sector, ahead of the Northern Arrows operation. He took over the position following the death of the previous commander on November 17, 2024.''
He concluded: "The Israeli army will continue its relentless efforts to dismantle Hezbollah’s infrastructure and 'eliminate' its leaders."
