DAMASCUS, SANA_The Syrian government condemned the terrorist attacks against civilians in al-Rayhanyeh area in Turkey, considering these crimes as a direct result of the spread of the phenomenon of terrorism in the region.
In a statement on Tuesday, the government stressed that "Accusing the Syrian state of those coward and terrorist acts are totally baseless," adding that the acts contradict Syria's morale, political and international commitments.
The statement added that the bloodshed of the Syrian and Turkish peoples is the result of the policies of the Turkish government in support of terrorism.
" Those heinous crimes aim at harming the relations between the Syrian and the Turkish peoples," the statement said.
"The Turkish government is responsible for the situation in the border areas through turning them into a haven and passage for the terrorists and allowing gunmen to use the Turkish lands to commit crimes against the Syrians," the statement said.
