At least two civilians have been killed in militant mortar attacks in the Syrian capital Damascus.
According to a source at the Syrian Police Command, 14 other civilians suffered injuries in the attack. The mortar shells fired by the Takfiri militants caused material damage to the buildings in the Old City of Damascus, the official SANA news agency reported on Thursday.
According to the source, a shell fired by the militants landed in the al-Qiemariyeh neighborhood, claiming the life a civilian and injuring six others.
The source added that a second shell struck the Bab Sharqi district, killing another civilian and injuring eight others.
