BEIRUT: The need to protect Lebanon from heightened political tension was the focus of a meeting between former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea, who met in Saudi Arabia Tuesday.
During the meeting which took place in Hariri’s residence in Riyadh, the two leaders stressed the need to ease political tensions and preserve stability and security in the country.
According to a statement released by Hariri’s news office, the two agreed on the necessity of continuing on with dialogue in an effort to end the ongoing political crisis in the country and to expedite the presidential election.
After the meeting, Hariri held a luncheon in honor of the Lebanese Forces chief.
