Provinces, SANA – Units of the army and armed forces continued on Friday to strike terrorists’ dens and hideouts in several areas across the country, killing numbers of them and destroying their weapons.
Quneitra
After stepping up operations in Quneitra over the past days, the army units continued hunting down members of takfiri organizations in the southern province of Quneitra, inflicting more losses upon their ranks.
A unit of the army killed many terrorists after it had been following their movements and gatherings in the northern part of al-Hamidiyeh village, a military source told SANA.
In the eastern part of Quneitra countryside, army units expanded their operations in southeast of al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh, killing many terrorists and leaving others wounded, in addition to destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Idleb
Units of the army and armed forces carried out special operations against terrorist organizations in the countryside of the northern Idleb province.
A military source told SANA that an army unit targeted and directly hit dens of terrorists in Taftanaz in northeastern Idleb, leaving many of them dead, in addition to inflicting losses on them in equipment.
Another army unit, the source added, killed a number of terrorists and injured many others in al-Yaqoubiyeh village in Jisr al-Shughour.
Military operations continued in Abu al-Duhour area to hunt down the fleeing members of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in the surrounding villages and towns.
The operations were focused in Tal Salmo, Um Jerin and al-Hamidiyeh, where many terrorists were killed, while their weapons and ammunition were destroyed, according to the source.
