On Sunday morning, the conglomerate of Islamist militias that form “Jaysh Al-Fatah” launched another fierce assault on the Jisr Al-Shughour National Hospital, attempting to infiltrate past the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) southern and western flanks, as the Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) bombarded their wave of militants storming the area.
Unable to penetrate the western flank, the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” decided to concentrate their combatants at the southern perimeter, where the 87th Brigade of the 11th Tank Division laid a perfectly timed ambush that resulted in the death of over 20 militants.
Attempting to infiltrate the 87th Brigade’s positions at the southern flank before nightfall, the militants from Jaysh Al-Fatah were repelled for the seventh time in seven days by the SAA, leaving well over 50 enemy combatants dead during the Islamists failed attack at the Jisr Al-Shughour National Hospital.
To the east of the Jisr Al-Shughour Hospital, the militants of Jabhat Al-Nusra – in coordination with Jaysh Al-Muhajireen and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham – attempted break-into the strategic village of Frikka; however, the SAA’s Tiger Forces and National Defense Forces (NDF) forestalled the attack and forced the enemy combatants to withdrawal south.
