BEIRUT: Hezbollah and Syrian army troops pushed jihadi militants out of a strategic hill in the Qalamoun region Monday, with fighting leaving at least seven militants dead and several others wounded, Hezbollah-owned Al-Manar said.
The report said that clashes around the town of Ras al-Maara witnessed fierce clashes, which led to the killing of Nusra commander Abu al-Shweikh, and a field commander identified as Abu Khaled.
Clashes in Al-Barouh hill, located on the outskirts Ras al-Maara left several other militants dead.
They were identified as Abu Mousaab, Abu al-Walid al-Beiroudi, Abu Yaqoub, Abu Bakr al-Lubnani and Abu Omar, Al-Manar reported.
The Syrian Army and Hezbollah also destroyed four armored vehicles in Al-Barouh.
