BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 A.M.) – A high ranking jihadist commander was assassinated in the northwestern countryside of the Idlib Governorate on Monday, opposition activists reported.
According to the opposition activists, the military of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, Abu Mussab Al-Dureer, was killed alongside two of his associates in the northwestern countryside of Idlib this week.
The HTS commander was reportedly traveling along the Darkoush-Azmarin Road in northwest Idlib, when a group of unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle.
Abu Mussab Al-Dureer was killed instantly during the ambush and his body was later retrieved by his own faction.
