More than 30 flights to and from Beirut were canceled on Tuesday, according to the Rafic Hariri International Airport website.
The cancellations included 15 outgoing and 29 incoming flights, affecting airlines such as Qatar Airways, several UAE-based carriers and Turkish Airways.
The disruptions come as Israel’s military announced it had struck dozens of Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon overnight, following the deadliest day of airstrikes in decades.
Hezbollah responded by attacking multiple Israeli military sites, including an explosives’ factory 60 kilometers inside Israel, and Megiddo airfield with their Fadi series of rockets.
As the Gaza war persists, Israel’s focus is now shifting to its northern border, where Hezbollah continues to launch rockets in solidarity with Hamas. Both groups are backed by Iran.
