We aspire to a democracy in Syria,' says Assad opponent- BBC News
Syria's main opposition grouping has said it will attend peace talks in Geneva on the condition that President Bashar al-Assad transfers power and is excluded from any transition process.
President Assad has said he is willing to be represented at the talks as long as there are no preconditions.
Speaking about his hopes for the Geneva talks, Ahmad Jarba, head of the Syrian National Coalition, told the BBC's Lina Sinjab he wanted to see ''a democracy like the one in the West'' in Syria.
