BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M) – Minutes ago, the Islamist rebels in the East Ghouta fired a barrage of missiles and mortar shells towards the Syrian capital of Damascus, striking several densely populated areas around the city.
According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent inside the city, the Islamist rebels struck several buildings around the Russian Embassy, causing massive explosions that could be heard throughout Damascus.
The Islamist rebels would then fire several mortar shells and missiles towards the city-center, hitting Al-Abed Street, Al-Salahiyah Neighborhood, and 7 Pools Square.
The attack is still ongoing at the moment, with missiles and mortar shells landing all over the city.
