BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:40 A.M.) – A powerful Al-Qaeda-linked jihadist group is in the process of sending armored vehicle bombs and their accompanying suicide drivers to the front-lines in eastern Idlib province in order to repel attacks by Syrian troops near a key military airport.
On Wednesday night, pro-rebel media released live-stream footage of Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda) transporting armored vehicle bombs on the back of large trucks to towards eastern Idlib province where a major battle between the jihadist faction and the Syrian Army is currently ongoing for control of the Abu Duhur airbase.
