Thousands of people marched Saturday from various Lebanese regions towards
Baalbek city to commemorate the Arbaeen in a ceremony organized by Hezbollah
under the name “Procession of Grief and Pride”.
In a speech Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivered on
the eve of Arbaeen which was Friday night, he clarified that the ceremony was
set to take place in Baalbek because the captives of Karbala passed through this
region when they were taken away from Karbala to the castle of Yazid in
Damascus.
The captives were Imam Ali Bin Hussein, Sayyeda Zainab and the rest of the wives
and children of the martyred Imam, his friends, and family.
At the end of the ceremony which included Quran verses recitation and
mourning over the tragedy of Ashura, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivered a speech
in which he reminded of the major lessons learned from Ashura and released some
stances on the local and regional political situation...
